There are books we read in silence. And then there are those that, once closed, make us want to talk about them. About a line that stuck with us. About a character who won us over or one we just couldn’t understand. About a choice that made us reflect. Or perhaps about an ending we wish had been different.

This is how Città di Carta was born: a monthly gathering to read a story and then come together to share it. Each month, a selected book will be made available to all participants free of charge. You’ll have plenty of time to read it and bring your thoughts, questions, and impressions to the meeting. During our time together, we’ll talk about the story, the characters, and the themes that made us think, comparing our interpretations and discovering new perspectives. Because reading the same book doesn’t necessarily mean seeing the same story. Every reader brings their own unique experience and, when these different viewpoints meet, the pages can tell us something completely new. One book a month. One meeting to talk about it. So many perspectives to share. We write the first page together.
