When Tijs, the Dutch artist behind the piece, asked me where I intended to place it, I naturally mentioned that I am the president of a Foundation and that it would find its home in my office. I was happy to share the name of the Foundation with him, even though I knew our website was still only available in Italian. A few days later came a wonderful surprise: Tijs wrote to tell me he had visited our site. In that title, &#8220;Where sorrow glows&#8221;, we found the deepest meaning of our mission: turning suffering into hope and beauty every single day.
